community and for nature, for the foreseeable future'
Finings Wood and Long Copse is an ancient woodland situated in the heart of the village of Lane End, near High Wycombe in Buckinghamshire.
It stretches from the centre of Lane End, down towards Frieth and is a popular place to walk and ramble with a public footpath running through and alongside most of the woods. Dog-walkers, ramblers and families delight in the bluebells in spring, cool green shade in summer and vibrant autumn colour. Some of the woods like the long copse are currently private, so imagine opening this area up to the public and how amazing that would be to extend your walks and exploration! The wood is up for sale and we (the Finings Wood Community Group) are concerned that it could be split up and sold off in small blocks. This would restrict public access and threaten the integrity and biodiversity of the wood. We want to purchase Finings Wood on behalf of the local community in Lane End, to protect and look after it for generations to come. Can you help us? Time is limited. Please give your support and donations NOW! |
