Fundraising news!

Hi folks! Just a quick update on the finance situation for our purchase of Finings Wood.

We are working slowly, but surely, on three big finance fronts. One of these is the National Lottery programme and we have got through the applications and vetting stage, and so we have now moved to their assessment of our project for funding. Keep fingers crossed. We should hear within the next 6 weeks.

We have just had the Parish Council help us by agreeing to accept £15,000 on our behalf from the SW Chilterns Community Board (as the Board's rules state they could not fund us directly). Thanks to both parties for helping us there.

Other big funding is going to take us a bit longer as there are many hurdles to jump, but we are on it!
In the meantime, as you may have noticed with the Race Night, we are keeping events going which brings in a gradual, steady increase in funds. At the moment, Paul Thomas has arranged a series of walks for different groups. The photo is the Bourne End U3A Walking Group being led by Paul and myself. If the groups have enjoyed the walk, and want to help us, then we give them leaflets to hand out, which also have the details for donations.
