Just because we are quiet, does not mean things are not afoot!
We have all been working on a big government grant application which is now in and now we have to impatiently wait until after the general election to hear on progress!  It took months of hard work from the committee and other friends of Finings Wood and we are so grateful to all of the team.
We applied and were delighted to be approved as a Community Benefit Society (CBS), a type of social enterprise that can help to improve local communities.  Being a CBS gives a number of advantages, including access to funding, the ability to raise money from members and possibly tax breaks. It also means we are now a Limited Company, registered and regulated by the FCA (Financial Conduct Authority), and governed by the Co-operative and Community Benefits Act. This then means we can also finally apply for gift aid donations. Watch this space!

Finally, with a new Limited Company status, we also have a new bank account. So for those who have saved our old details and setup a standing order donating to our good cause, please amend to the new details shown here on our website @finingswood.org.uk/support-us

We would also like to thank Paul Rees Thomas and Pauline Thomas who are diligently adding labels to our already printed leaflets with the new banking details. Over 300 so far, so pat them on the back if you see them walking in the woods! Sustainability is us!
